Columbus, Georgia is an amazing city that is home to Fort Benning. That is what brought my husband and I to this city.
It feels like Jacob was here forever going through IBOLC, Ranger School and being stationed there.
The good thing for me is that I grew to love Columbus, Georgia. There are tons of food spots and it’s a beautiful little area.
This list is made up of places that we either frequented or just places we want to share. There are so many more places than what’s posted on this list.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of this place! (Maybe next time) This place made me fall in love with lattes! I’ve never had a latte before, I am your boring regular hot coffee or iced coffee girl. But no longer! They had a Dominican banana split latte and it was perfect. Inside it is so beautiful and they have meeting rooms that were actually old bank vaults. This is one of my favorite coffee places, period.
This place was extremely cute. Around the shop were Christian-like quotes and Bible verses, which is so refreshing. They also have a wall of games such as jenga and other board games. The coffee was really good and they even poked some fun at Jacob for getting a decaf.

We only went to one breakfast place because for the most part we cooked breakfast. Eggs are a must for me and we ran out of them! So we headed to Ruth Ann’s. This place a classic diner kind of restaurant. It was Saturday so the wait was probably 20 minutes, which wasn’t too bad. I had a classic two egg breakfast, Jacob got an omelet and we shared Cap’t Crunch French Toast, yeah, you read that right. We stuffed ourselves and it was awesome.
This is one of our favorite places to visit in the morning.

Jacob and I always share a bowl because they are actually pretty big.
We indulged in some amazing ethnic cuisine.
Rose’s Caribbean Restaurant
I was a little apprehensive to try this place. Coming from South Florida, I have had amazing Caribbean food so I wasn’t so sure that this place could measure up.
Well, they did. It was so flavorful and everyone working there were so sweet. I ordered the jerk chicken with veggie rice, plantains and green beans. Jacob ordered the curry chicken, yams, jerk rice, and plantains. And to go we had a jerk chicken patty. It was so good!
We decided we needed some good Thai food. Here I ordered red curry with chicken and Jacob got green curry with chicken. It was refreshing and they even gave us a scoop of sherbet with the bill.
This is now my favorite Thai place in Columbus. The food is always so good and the customer service is amazing. If you’re ever in Columbus, I highly recommend coming here!
This place is fairly new and we were excited for some good pizza. This was our last meal out. We were starting to feel crappy with all the food we’ve been eating. But we were determined to get Jacob all the food he can get before leaving. We ordered wings as a starter, half garlic parmesan and half spicy bbq. We ordered a custom pizza with jalapenos, chicken, tomatoes and black olives. Honestly, the food wasn’t that good, it was like bar food and we weren’t impressed. But that’s okay, sometimes that food is necessary!

Cerrone’s is my favorite pizza place in Columbus. They have amazing pizza and great customer service.
