If you are ever on the border of Georgia and South Carolina, you MUST go to Manuel’s Bread Café and pay them a visit.
My friend and I did a 5k and we decided that needed to eat something. So I pulled up my Yelp app, (one of my favorite apps), and searched restaurants with breakfast. The majority of things that popped up were fast food chains such as Chick-fil-a, McDonalds and things of that nature; and that was a BIG NO.

I came across Manuel’s Bread Cafe and honestly, I was a little hesitant. It only had 3.5 reviews and I just wasn’t sure if I’d like it. But my friend was like “Yeah, let’s go”, so we did.

About Manuel’s Bread Cafe

Manuel’s is located in Hammond’s Ferry in North Augusta, South Carolina. It is a quaint French-style bistro that uses the freshest ingredients from Blue Clay Farm. Blue Clay is a “sustainable community vegetable garden with a French flair”.

“When guests are here, they know our product is fresh. They can see our chefs coming from the garden with all of the fresh herbs and vegetables to be used that night. Everything from our Plats du Jour down to our table decorations (grown in the farm) are as local as we can possibly get it.” – Chef Manuel Verney-Carron

This place is a gem, straight from heaven. We got there at 9:15 and they were ready for us. Our waitress was great, she was informative and friendly. She told us all about their weekend buffet and everything we can order. The place was cute, they had both outdoor seating and indoor. We chose to sit outside, we ordered our drinks and got up to get our food.
They had shrimp and grits, French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, Greek yogurt with granola, fruits, pastries, and rolls. AMAZING!

I give this place 5 stars, they have great food and great service!

After this initial visit, I have visited this place another 5 times. My favorite time to visit is for their Saturday buffet which is from 9 am to 11 am. I have brought my sister, my husband, friends and I have even recommended it for my parents on their date nights. Now I am recommending you all to visit!
My favorite dishes are the creme brulee french toast, one word… amazing!
