Last year Jacob and I visited this amazing restaurant, Butcher & Bee, I fell in love, (for real)! We had whipped feta and bacon wrapped dates, which were both so good and I think about them often.
Finally I decided to recreate the whipped feta (bacon wrapped dates will be next). You can add in olive oil if you would like or maybe cream cheese, the possibilities are endless.
- 1/2 cup of ricotta
- 1/4 cup of crumbled feta
- 1/4 cup of honey
- a pinch of cracked black pepper
- Optional: green onions
- Blend your ricotta and feta cheese in a bowl. (You can use a food processor or just do it by hand)
- Transfer your mixture to a serving bowl and create a dip in the middle and pour your honey into it.
- Crack black pepper on top and top with green onions.
And you’re done!
Serve with sliced french bread, pita or carrots.
This is so easy but so incredibly delicious! This will be a hit at dinner, for a snack or for any party that you’re hosting.
