DIY Maid of Honor Proposal

Happy Sunday!

Just so you guys are updated, I finally bought my wedding dress! Given, I wasn’t really looking for a dress, it just happened!

I was beyond ecstatic! But this post is all about the maid of honor proposal. My sister is my maid of honor and she told me “You have to ask me to be your maid of honor in a cute way”, and honestly I didn’t want to! She already knew she was going to take that role so why do it? But being the loving, kind person I am I decided to do it anyway and I also don’t want to miss out on all things wedding!

It contained:

The box and tissue paper were from Michael’s, it was the easiest thing to put together. She loved it and I loved it also because I didn’t just go out and buy a proposal box. It means more to me that I’m actually doing wedding stuff myself.

If you have any wedding tips and advice I’d love to hear all about it!

I hope you guys have a great Sunday!

Indian Healing Clay

Good evening!

The great thing about my life right now (besides being engaged and blessed beyond measure) is that I went from working full time to working part time! Yes, there is a side of me that is freaking out because I have so much free time now but, let me tell you, I can relax, focus on school and really take care of myself.

And that is where this Indian Healing Clay comes in. This stuff is amazing! It is so easy to use and it gets rid of everything that has been building up on your face. Let me give credit where credit is due, shout out to my sister in law who put me on to this clay a couple of years ago!

You’ll need:

  • A small plastic bowl
  • A plastic spoon
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Healing Clay

**** Make sure you are not using metal, the clay reacts to it! ****

How I usually do it  is I put 1/4 teaspoon of the clay into my bowl and add in the vinegar drop by drop. The vinegar reacts with the clay immediately so you have to just give it a little time before you add in more. Once it’s all mixed I apply a thick layer to my face and just wait for it to dry. You will definitely feel this mask working, your skin WILL be pulsating. You won’t be able to talk because your skin is so tight but wow the results are amazing! My face is always blotchy after washing the mask off so make sure you’re not doing this an hour before you have to be somewhere. You’re skin will feel so clean and fresh after this mask, it is currently the only one I use! Once my face is dry I moisturize with just a little coconut oil  and then I just bask in the amazingness that is my new skin!

This is a must buy, simply click the picture below! You will not regret it.

If you try it out or have any comments let me know, I’d love to hear about it!

Happy Wednesday!

Making Healthy Fun

Happy Tuesday!

As I described in my last post, I had an amazing weekend. Typically my fiance and I like to cook new foods together and this weekend was no different. We wanted something simple but tasty.

I bought butternut squash last week because I wanted to start incorporating that in my diet more especially because it is fall.

So we knew we wanted to make the butternut squash in some form and I found the most perfect recipe!

Sauteed butternut squash with bacon!

All you need for this is:

  • Minced garlic
  • Butternut squash, diced (we used two)
  • Bacon (we used 5 slices)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a skillet, on medium heat without any oil, cook your bacon until it is almost done. This is really dependent on how you like your bacon cooked, but remember you’re going to add your bacon to your squash a little later so make sure it isn’t completely done.

Move your bacon to a plate and with the bacon drippings still in the skillet add your diced squash.

Cooking the squash took a little bit longer, probably around 15 minutes.

While it is cooking add in salt and pepper and break up your bacon in little pieces.

Once the squash is done turn off the heat and add in your bacon pieces.

Now it’s done and it’s amazing and it’s the most delicious dish ever. Honestly though, this was such a simple recipe.

Even though bacon was added (along with the grease) it is a healthier option and a fun way to incorporate butternut squash.

Next broccoli!

Broccoli is simple for me, I love it with just salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and roasted.

How you like it depends on how long it’ll be in the oven for, I love broccoli in any way, whether it’s extremely roasted and crispy or still soft and tender.

Next up…. the chicken!

The chicken we marinated it with:

  • Olive oil
  • Garlic (roughly two tablespoons)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Dried thyme (1 tablespoon)
  • Dried oregano (1 tablespoon)

After about 30 minutes in the marinate we grilled it for about 10 minutes on each side. Once done we waited until after the table was set to cut the chicken into smaller pieces because that helps to not dry it out.

Overall the whole meal was amazing. It was fun to make with my family and it was good and simple. It’s nice to know that you don’t need all these crazy ingredients or be super talented to cook good meals.

(Also, my fiance made some amazing guacamole but we’ll save that for another post!)

Have a great Tuesday!

Olly, Undeniable beauty

Every girl (for the most part) wants perfect skin, strong nails and silky smooth hair, I am definitely part of this population. For a while now I have been playing with the idea of buying some biotin vitamins, I was just unsure as to which brand I should buy. I finally gave in and decided to buy Olly’s Undeniable Beauty grapefruit vitamins for hair, skin and nails. As the directions say I took 2 gummies a day for a month. They taste amazing and I’d really love to just eat them all at one time. You obviously don’t see results right away so I completely forgot about monitoring my results.

It wasn’t until yesterday that I realized that it most definitely gave me acne. My vitamins ran out about a week ago and I didn’t buy a new pack because I just wasn’t sure. My mother commented several times that I was breaking out and I didn’t really think about the gummies causing this… but it has to be, right?!

My acne isn’t severe nor is it gross, so I decided to give it another month. And luckily GNC was having a special where you buy one you get the next half off so I just had to buy two.

I’ll let you guys know what happens. I am really happy that my nails have grown stronger though. Before if my nails grew long they were weak and would unfortunately break. So let’s see what happens!

Let me know if you guys know anything about these or have any insight! I’d love to hear.

Have a great Tuesday!
