Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

Reese’s are my favorite and have been my favorite for a long time. I never thought to make homemade peanut butter cups myself, but I’m so glad that I did. They taste so much better than the store-bought stuff and you can make them in your own unique way.

I made these on Valentine’s Day, for myself, in 2016. At that time, I had not met my husband and I didn’t have a boyfriend. I am a huge advocate for “Treat yourself day”, so that’s what I did.

These are the best gifts if you do choose to share. I’m a sucker for things homemade. It shows that you invested time and put thought into making the item. Even if you aren’t looking to make something for someone else, just make them for yourself! It’s simple, easy and delicious.

My husband devours peanut butter like a madman. Don’t get me wrong, I love peanut butter too. Every once in a while, I’ll have a spoonful of peanut butter and it’s so satisfied. Now, I am a sucker for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich any day and at any time. BUT my husband, he takes it to the extreme. He adds peanut butter to his waffles, to his cereal and to anything else he thinks of. We literally have to buy a jar of peanut butter every time we go grocery shopping.

Coconut & Almond Brownies

Happy Tuesday!
Everyone loves brownies so I was actually pretty excited to make these. I was drawn to the coconut and almond, and it did not disappoint. These will definitely be a crowd-pleaser.
They’re easy and so fun to make!


  • 10 ounces of chopped bittersweet chocolate
  • 3/4 cup of unsalted butter (1 and 1/2 stick) FOR THE BROWNIES
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (1/2 stick) FOR THE FILLING
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of light brown sugar FOR THE BROWNIES
  • 1/4 cup of light brown sugar FOR THE FILLING
  • 1/3 cup of shredded coconut (you can use sweetened or unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped almonds
