Black Pepper For Your Face

Probably about a couple of days ago I read about the benefits of black pepper and I was really interested. I never really looked into the benefits of this since it is so common, I guess I kind of overlooked it. But black pepper is said to improve digestion, aids in weight loss and is even good for your skin! Ever since I’ve started to pay attention to cleaning my face and paying attention to my appearance, I have always had blackheads on my nose. I absolutely hate them. I tried so hard constantly cleaning my face with products and I finally gave up. I just can’t get rid of them. I wanted to be able to wake up in the morning, fresh faced, and not have to worry about whats on my face, but every morning I woke up with blackheads. I just learned to suck it up. I came to the conclusion that I’ll always have them and I’ll just have to live with it. THEN when I came across these blog posts about how to seriously get rid of them I got really excited. Hopefully I won’t be disappointed once again. I decided to try this mask thing that I found. It’s 2 tablespoons of ground black pepper (I only used 1 because that’s a lot of pepper), 1 egg white (You can use yogurt or aloe vera), and a pinch of turmeric. When I saw it all come together I was like “Oh no, I don’t want to put this on my face” but I did it anyway. It was slimy, gross and cold. The instructions from the blog said it would be like a paste but she didn’t use egg whites, she used aloe vera so I’m assuming that’s why it came out like a paste. (Mine was just precooked scrambled egg batter basically) So I couldn’t really use it as a mask, I decided to gently scrub it on my face…… I scrubbed too much because after a while it started to burn. It wasn’t horrible but it was very uncomfortable. I waited probably about 2 minutes and rinsed it off with cold water, patted my face dry and moisturized with coconut oil. I was relieved that the burning was gone. I don’t necessarily recommend this mask but I do recommend looking into black pepper for your skin. image1(2)

DIY Easy Facial Scrub

Keeping your face fresh and clean shouldn’t have to be a hassle nor should it be expensive. Buying these expensive facial products are honestly just a waste of money. All you need is a little patience and some creativity. When you find out what the problem is with your face (oily, dry, too much acne, etc) then you can find out what is needed for your face. My face can get dry every so often so I moisturize with coconut oil. I have mentioned in my previous post that I do a weekly face mask with the Indian Healing Clay that is made of Bentonite clay and it is seriously perfect. But I do some other things as well. This post is going to be dedicated to a simple facial scrub.

  • 1 tablespoon of Honey
  • 1 tablespoon of Brown Sugar
  • Juice of 1/4 Lemon

It’s really simple, you just mix them in a bowl and scrub it on your face for about 5 minutes. You’ll feel the honey moisturize your face and the brown sugar scrub the dirt and oil away. It honestly feels better than the facial products you buy in the store (at least for me). After this I rinse with cold water and I pat my face dry then after a couple of minutes I moisturize with coconut oil.

It’s so simple and takes just a couple minutes of your time. I hope you guys like this and if you do anything else I’d love to hear about it, so share!

Have a great Friday
