Once I saw a recipe for a tamale pie I was hooked, I just had to make one myself. Growing up, my mother always made tamales on special occasions. Sometimes, we'd do a truly Hispanic Christmas and she'd go all out with tons of Hispanic food.
So, I decided that I needed to make some amazing homemade bread, finally. I’m always trying to find new things to make that we usually buy from the store. I was reading some articles about how the bread that we're used to isn't actually real bread, and it’s so true! The bread that’s in the store is filled with preservatives so that it can last on shelves longer. There are basically no nutrients in it because of all the bleach that's in it.
Jacob and I hardly ever buy snacks, which becomes a big problem throughout the week. I am a big 'snacker' but I always thought that if I didn't buy snacks then I wouldn't crave them. It turns out that doesn't really work. I end up being miserable during the week trying to find anything to snack on in the house. But, these healthy no bake cookies are perfect!
