Olly, Undeniable beauty

Every girl (for the most part) wants perfect skin, strong nails and silky smooth hair, I am definitely part of this population. For a while now I have been playing with the idea of buying some biotin vitamins, I was just unsure as to which brand I should buy. I finally gave in and decided to buy Olly’s Undeniable Beauty grapefruit vitamins for hair, skin and nails. As the directions say I took 2 gummies a day for a month. They taste amazing and I’d really love to just eat them all at one time. You obviously don’t see results right away so I completely forgot about monitoring my results.

It wasn’t until yesterday that I realized that it most definitely gave me acne. My vitamins ran out about a week ago and I didn’t buy a new pack because I just wasn’t sure. My mother commented several times that I was breaking out and I didn’t really think about the gummies causing this… but it has to be, right?!

My acne isn’t severe nor is it gross, so I decided to give it another month. And luckily GNC was having a special where you buy one you get the next half off so I just had to buy two.

I’ll let you guys know what happens. I am really happy that my nails have grown stronger though. Before if my nails grew long they were weak and would unfortunately break. So let’s see what happens!

Let me know if you guys know anything about these or have any insight! I’d love to hear.

Have a great Tuesday!

Wedding Dress Sample Studio

Good morning my beautiful followers!

As many of you know, and many probably do not, I am engaged! But honestly, I’m kind of freaking out, I want the most perfect wedding there is but I’m afraid to make any decisions.

To begin with, my dress! What if I don’t like the one I bought, why am I not crying like all the other girls on TV are, and why are all the dresses so expensive? (spending more than $1,000 on a dress I’m only going to wear once…. that’s ludicrous)

Well, in little Augusta, Georgia I found a sample studio, Tiffinie Bleu Bridal Sample Studio Yes, finally! And its conveniently located right next to my school, I hit the jackpot.

Of course, I follow them on Instagram, (because all I do on social media now is look up wedding stuff), and low and behold they are doing a 10% off flash sale! YES, YES, YES!

Before I get into the sample studio, let me tell you that they do have their regular salon, Tiffinie Bleu Bridal Boutique. It is absolutely perfect. It is by appointment only and you get the whole salon to yourself and the best customer service I’ve ever received. Also, they gave us (my mother, maid of honor and I) champagne and cookies. It was the first time I actually felt engaged and like a bride, I loved it.

I’m only going to share photos of dresses that I am not considering, so my fiance doesn’t know which one I’m getting!

Honestly, trying on dresses was not fun. I didn’t get emotional, I didn’t exclaim “Yes, this is the one… I’m saying yes to the dress!”. Maybe I’m not girly enough, who knows.

But I took a trip to their sample studio to see if they had anything that I wanted. With sample studios it is definitely a hit or miss, they offer discounted dresses straight from their bridal salon. They also have belts, veils and shoes, which is awesome. They’re customer service is just as amazing as at their other location.

If you’re a bride in the Augusta area taking a visit to either of these places is necessary.

If you guys have any tips or advice for my fiance and I please do not hesitate to initiate a conversation! We would love advice on weddings and just how to remain calm and not stressed. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Farmhaus fail?

Farhmhaus Burgers has two locations in Augusta, Georgia.  They boast that they use local products (which I am on board with) and they do use organic products as well. Since I’ve moved to the CSRA I’ve always wanted to visit this restaurant. And today was the day.

Going in I was confused, I always thought it was a normal restaurant where you sit down and order, but instead you take a menu and order in line, take your number and then sit down and wait for your food. It has a Chipotle vibe, probably because of how it is decorated but it reminded me of Shake Shack.

The girl at the register was extremely nice and helped my pick out what was best for me. I got their veggie burger with sweet potato tots. fullsizerender-1

It was on an organic wheat bread which was pretty good. I added Swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms, pickled jalapenos, a garlic ailoi sauce and avocado. I don’t know exactly what was in my burger but it was made with quinoa and beans, that’s for sure. And it was good, it did fall apart though and I had to eat it with a utensil. The sweet potato tots were a complete fail, I was truly disappointed, I don’t know what sauce was on the side but I wasn’t with that either. The regular fries were AWESOME though.

And this is the number 6 or “the Farmstyle”, it looked good but both my brother and father said it was just okay.

They do have shakes and floats with alcohol in them that seems pretty awesome. If I do come back to this place I’m going to have to try one out.

Overall, the place was just okay. And it’s really unfortunate I really wanted to like this place. I will probably come back, MAYBE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Saturday.

Travel Diaries: Columbia, South Carolina

So I must confess something… I absolutely love food. My family and I were planning this awesome food filled trip to Charleston, South Carolina BUT with all the rain and thunderstorms we decided that wasn’t the best idea, unfortunately. So we decided to make our way to Columbia instead. Yelp is seriously my best friend when I’m going to a new place, so I found a few places that caught my eye but we went with this awesome little place called Cafe Strudel.

So coming into this place it was PACKED, (which definitely tells me that we went to the right place) our wait ended up being a little more than 30 minutes.

So to kill time we went next door and visited the Old Mill Antique Mall. This place is massive. When you think you’re done another room pops up out of no where. Old Mill has over 75 dealers selling anything from jewelry, books, pins, clothes, old cameras, you name it, they probably have it.

Once we were antiqued out we headed back to the restaurant and what a coincidence our table was ready.

Our waiter was absolutely wonderful and the service was great. BUT our food was even better.

Duck fat fry Basket: Fries tossed in duck fat and truffle oil with a green onion aioli.

Freshly squeezed orange juice. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

Hangover hash browns: Hash browns with banana peppers, onions, tomatoes and scrambles eggs. WITH one pineapple french toast.

Sunrise Burrito: scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, salsa, black beans and sour cream in a cheddar cheese wrap.

If you’re ever in Columbia you must visit this place! I 100% recommend it. They have great service and great food.
